· Responsible for the supervision of construction work within surface protection, responsibility and ensuring that the work meets the contractual as well as operational requirements.

· Witnessing all relevant tests according to Equinor standard’s and accept only when achieved.

· Be a resource for painting contractor.

· Conducting official inspections as well as monitoring and supervising work at the Yard, to obtain the best quality and to improve efficiency.

· Confirm TSA/TSZ is carried out according to specification.

· Reporting any delays and issuing corrective action requests to the yard as and when required.

· Verifying that all documentation is updated to as-built status continuously, and upon completion of installation and commissioning.

· Take initiative for proper and timely action in all respects.

· The Inspector shall ensure a good working relationship between Equinor and the Yard/Contractor.

• Reviewing of painting and insulation procedure including ITP from the subcontractor
• Attending kick off meeting to clarify and agree on the coating procedure, surface preparation and painting application process, quality control and inspection program, report form, and any other necessary requirement to achieved correct job execution
• To contribute on problem solving and consultancy to making progress being align with the time schedule and quality level of protective coating required
• Performed audit readiness of applicator or sub-contractor in related to paint store, chamber condition, abrasive material, all equipment to be used i.e., airless pump/conventional, tip nozzle, blasting pot, abrasive material, air compressor machine (oil and water trap) and manpower (qualified blaster/painter and project management team)
• Witness and monitoring during coating procedure qualification test
• Witness and monitoring all daily inspection related to surface preparation and application
• Monitoring during paint application including: ambient condition check, paint material condition (shelf life), mixing process and to advise for regular WFT check during application
• Witness and monitoring of preparation after paint/coating surface has dry to make sure that all surface was covered uniformly with accepted DFT range, visual condition (free form any defect) minimum and maximum interval coating and to proceed for subsequent coating application
• Checking and review report from contractor/applicator.

• Oversee and monitor activity progress at each work front
• Attend weekly progress meetings and appraise the work fronts required to carry out the job
• Tally up and validate work allocation by SAIPEM supervision at start of each day and monitor actual performance for each supervisor at close of play
• Intervene in the field for any RFI / QC delays for progressing onto further stages of coating
• Continuous monitor and supervise of Production process for Blasting, Painting, Coating, Insulation, TSZA, TSAI, and HDG
• Responsible for monitoring all parameters during Blasting, Painting, Coating, Insulation, PFP, TSZA, TSAI, and HDG
• Provide oversight on inefficiencies in habitat set-up, timely start of work in the morning, addressing idle time
• Provide advice in the field for extent of Blasting, Painting, Coating, Insulation, PFP, TSZA, TSAI, and HDG activities such that down time for clarifications are avoided
• Look after the safety as well as the H.S.E.& P.P.E regulations for all the employees.

• Preparing surface preparation & paint/coating procedure (Including: Thermal spray, Passive fire protection, Hot Dip Galvanize, etc.) according to client specifications
• Perform Shop and Field Inspections of surface preparation and coating application in accordance with project specification, Coating Procedure and scope as noted Inspection Test Plan (ITP)
• Read and to understand the Project requirements, Review and familiarize with Project AFC drawing, Specification, applicable Codes Standards, Data sheets, Coating Procedure, ITP, method statements, technical queries & Work Instruction relating to assigned project
• Enforcement and verification of work performed in accordance with specification, manufacturer recommendations and coating procedure
• Responsible to leading quality inspector team to fulfil project requirement at all phase of the project
• Highlight and report for any nonconformities that deviate to Client requirement/project approved procedure/specification to Quality Manager as per the approved QMS and Project Quality Plan
• Conduct awareness and guidance to all QC inspector involved in all project
• Plan the Focus Assessment on the fabrication activity and assign QC Inspector to conduct the assessment.

• Review all document: consisting of Jotun specification, painting procedure and inspection test plan
• As a team lead during kick off meeting and pre-qualification test prior to project commenced
• To guide yard QC inspector during preparation of coating technical file (CTF)
• Assign, develop and monitoring Coating Advisor personnel according to customer/ client requesting
• Conduct training for blaster and painter operator according to Jotun product and project specification
• Daily inspection of surface preparation and painting application
• Review of daily inspection and final report inspection from Coating Advisor personnel prior to distribute to client/ customer
• Handling and registering of customer complaint in related paint/coating failure
• Conduct Jotun Paint School, product training and onboard maintenance training.
